Peanut Butter Christmas Light Cookies
Chewy peanut butter cookies are decorated with royal icing and PB Christmas M&M’S to resemble festive Christmas lights.

Recipe Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, at room temperature
- 1/4 cup smooth peanut butter
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup store-bought vanilla royal icing
- 1/2 small tube black gel icing
- 3/4 cup M&M’S Peanut Christmas
Directions:
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes (+ 35 minutes cooling time)
- Whisk together flour, baking powder and salt; set aside. Beat together brown sugar, butter, peanut butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in egg yolk until incorporated; beat in vanilla. Stir in flour mixture. Wrap dough tightly in plastic wrap; refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350˚F. On lightly floured surface, roll out dough into large round, about 1/8-inch thick. Using 2 1/2-inch round cookie cutter, cut out 12 cookies (reserve remaining dough for another use). Place on parchment paper-lined baking sheet, about 2 inches apart. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until tops are set and golden around edges. Let cool on baking sheet on rack for 5 minutes; transfer directly to rack. Let cool completely.
- Spread royal icing evenly over bottom of each cookie for smooth surface. Pipe black gel icing in zigzag pattern to imitate string of lights. Decorate with M&M’S to resemble Christmas lights.
